Founded/Implemented January 1, 2010 Missouri Water Association (MWA) is a 501(C)12 Non-Profit Membership Cooperative Organization dedicated to the preservation, maintenance, technical, managerial, and financial well being of new and existing water distribution and source water development facilities in Missouri.

MWA consists of over 927 households serving an estimated 2,781 individuals over 17 permitted water facilities.

MWA was founded by a company dedicated to water and wastewater operations, maintenance, installation and engineering that has been performing these services in the Lake of the Ozark’s area for over 50 years.

MWA is governed by a five (5) member Board of Directors comprised of Members that are served by this organization. Only Members of MWA may serve on the Board of Directors.

MWA does not have a service boundary and can serve any facility and collection system in the State of Missouri.

Members enjoy the benefit of MWA through liability removal relieving not only homeowner/condominium owners associations Board of Directors but also the homeowners themselves.

MWA is responsible for the permit of the source water and the distribution system. This includes:

  • Well(s)
  • Water Distribution
  • Water Testing
  • Storage
  • Permit Fees
  • Mechanical Devices (i.e. backflow prevention, fire hydrants, dedicated sample ports, etc.)

MWA maintains an emergency hotline number and staff available 24/7 to address any water related emergencies.
